Instead of the age old traditional writing of the Christmas
letter rambling about hobbies, kids, vacations and projects, below is my recap of 2013 in no particular order other than the A*DHW&GDK*@&#(& of my disheveled mind.

I've learned a great deal throughout the past year.  It's been one of highs and lows including change, pure joy, stress, loss of a friendship and pet, buying a new house and moving, gaining of a new family, and most importantly, the marriage to the love of my life.

I wouldn't trade any day of 2013 God blessed me with for I've grown, learned, renewed and fallen in love even more than I thought possible.

Cheers to 2014 and many more of life's lessons!

I've learned that 1 Corinthians 13:7 is true.
I've learned that clinical depression is a major illness and one that many people do not understand.
I've learned that the best things in life are free….a good friend, a good hug and a good night's sleep.
I've learned that change is scary but a fresh start can be exactly what the doctor ordered.
I've learned that sometimes a phone call is better than a text message.
I've learned that I am scared to death to lose the people I love.
I've learned that hanging pictures can be detrimental to a new marriage.
I've learned that the smallest misunderstandings can lead to the largest disagreements.
I've learned that I have the most giving parents on the planet and I aspire to be as giving in my lifetime.
I've learned that I despise selfies and do not understand the people who post them.
I've learned that I'm a grammar nazi.
I've learned that nothing beats hanging out with old friends.
I've learned that traveling for work is the most exhausting "perk" but truly a gift to be able to explore places.
I've learned that negative energy is wasted energy.
I've learned that an animal is an amazing companion and when you lose that friend it's heart wrenching!
I've learned that I can't help everyone I want to help.
I've learned that second chances are sometimes better than the first.
I've learned that sometimes we have to love from afar…and that's ok.
I've learned that God doesn't waste a hurt.
I've learned that I never have been and never will be that skinny person.
I've learned that not everyone gives selflessly, many expect something in return.
I've learned that giving anonymously is extremely fulfilling.
I've learned that gum smackers and ice crunchers drive me to drink.
I've learned that I'm a Crossfit nazi simply because of all the instagram and fb posts of gross cracked bleeding hands and obsessed "Crossfit besties" pictures.
I've learned that being kind goes a long way - opening a door, giving up a parking space, letting someone in front of you in line.
I've learned that life is a whole lot richer when I surround myself with positivity.
I've learned that I am a G word girl with my favorites in 2013 being Grace and Gratitude.  Exploring these words and living them are Goals!
I've learned that ending up with a person who makes you laugh is VERY important.
I've learned that social media can be used for the greater good and it is amazing to see when strangers come together for a good cause.
I've learned that an outside perspective can be amazing -- therapists should be well paid, they are worth every dime!
I've learned that it's okay to ask for help.
I've learned that the poster I once read is insanely true -- there are 3 types of friends in our life:  friends for a reason, friends for a season and friends for a lifetime.
I've learned that addictions are real and can spread and affect family and friends like the flu does.
I've learned that I will always be a Sensitive Sally.
I've learned that I really love being Southern and love the traditions of the South.  I appreciate the diversity of the United States but sweet tea and yes ma'am and no ma'am are way too important to me.
I've learned that bad times define good friends just as bad seasons define good fans.
I've learned that I truly do love football season and the excitement and adrenaline it brings.

Happy 2014!
